A WATERPROOF AND HEAT REFLECTIVE CERAMIC COATING

Single component 100% acrylic waterproofing and heat reflective coating which is formulated with hollow core ceramic microspheres to dissipate and reflect solar radiation and also provide a long lasting elastomeric waterproof coating.

Elastoclad HR may be used on metal roof decks, silos, storage tanks, cold storage facilities, metal wall surfaces and electrical equipment boxes, concrete roofs and walls. Suitable surfaces to apply to include concrete, metals, timber, asbestos cement and brickwork.

Application

Elastoclad HR may be applied using a brush, roller or airless spray. In some circumstances, particularly if applying by airless spray equipment, the viscosity of Elastoclad HR may warrant Elastoclad HR the addition of 5-10% of water for improved spray viscosity.

ElastoClad HR Facts Some of our FAQ

Elastoclad HR is a 100% acrylic water proofing & Heat reflective coating which is formulated with hollow core ceramic microspheres to dissipate & reflect solar radiation & also provide long term elastomeric waterproof coating.
Elastoclad HR can be used on metal roof decks, storage tanks, electrical equipment boxes, concrete roof & walls, cold storage facilities, timber, asbestos, cement & brick work.
Elastoclad HR helps reduce surface to surface temperature by approximately 10 deg. Celcius, resulting in decreased load of airconditioning, deadens sound, fungus resistant, protects metal from rust & corrosion, stabilizes rusty steel halting rusting, protects concrete from carbonation. Further it acts as an water proof membrane, once cured it it elstomeric properties can tolerate substrate movement without cracking or flaking.
Normally it is recommended to have a thickness of 500 to 700 microns on concrete surfaces to achieve higher temperature difference. We maintain a standard thickness of 300 microns on all the surfaces to achieve the desired result of approximately 10 deg. Celcius.
Foot traffic is definitely permitted, precautions to be taken is not to allow any sharp or pointed object to damage the coating.
Elastoclad Hr is expected to have a life of approx 7 to 8 years. A single coat of Elastoclad Hr thereafter would further enhance the life by another 3 years.
Only care to be taken is to ensure that the coating is kept free of dust accumulation if any as the basic principle is solar reflectivity. The area may be water sprayed at regular intervals depending on the amount of dust accumulation on the surface.
White is the most preferred as the reflectivity principle is best with white color, other light shades like pink, grey etc are also available only on request. These colors would reduce the surface to surface temperature substantially

We measured the surface to surface temperature difference on the coated and the uncoated surface with our thermography machine (flir make). We were delighted to witness a difference of 8 to 10 deg. Celsius surface to surface. The end result on the floor at a distance of 30 feet was found to be very comfortable as well.

We donot feel the need of AC after application of this coating. The coating is still effective after 6 years of application. We recommend & encourage use of this coating for heat reflective, waterproofing & safeguarding the exterior surface from degrading.

Substantial drop of temperature notice which are equivalent to 80 tr refrigeration load followed by power consumption reduced around 3000KVA per day, measured on same scale.

This coating solution found to be very effective, and results establised are even much better than anticipated by the applicator.

This is a better methodology for water proofing as well thermal insulation.

We had verified the temperature in May 2018 which is after 2 years of application. We have observed an ambient temperature reading of 47.7 deg. Celciusabove the roof. The temperature inside the ware house at 5 feet above ground level was observed at 39 deg. Celcius. A clear difference of approximately 9 deg. Celsius.

We find the product very useful & recommend it to be used for better work conditions & higher productivity.
